The variety has weak to medium shoot vigor. Bud burst is early, and the ripening period is medium to medium-early. The berries are distinguished by a thin skin and tender flesh; yields and must sugar content vary from medium to high.
The plant has high resistance to berry shatter, but is sensitive to fungal diseases such as powdery mildew and necrosis. In ampelographic literature, the variety is often considered identical or closely related to Chasselas rosé.
