The variety is a natural mutation of the well-known Chasselas grape. Its key morphological feature is deeply dissected, palmate leaves, which is why the variety is also called the parsley-leaved grape.

This variety is a table grape. Physiological characteristics, maturity group, and agronomic traits are identical to the parent Chasselas variety, as the differences relate only to the leaf shape.
