Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety belongs to the Vitis vinifera culture and is characterized by medium vine vigor. Leaves are medium-sized, rounded, predominantly five-lobed, with slight tomentum on the underside. Clusters are cylindrical-conical or conical in shape; berries are medium-sized, rounded, and acquire a golden-yellow color upon ripening.

The growing season is 150–155 days with a sum of active temperatures of 3100–3200°C. The variety is characterized by high and stable yields, but is prone to powdery mildew and gray mold, and is susceptible to spring frosts due to early bud break.

Wines made from Chenin B. possess pronounced natural acidity and high aging potential. The aromatic profile includes notes of green apple, pear, quince, honey, as well as floral and mineral tones.
