The variety is a hybrid of Chasselas blanc and Vitis berlandieri. It is a specialized phylloxera-resistant rootstock that is widely used in European wine-growing regions due to its ability to adapt to high limestone content in the soil.

Bushes are characterized by high growth vigor and a vegetation period of approximately 180 days. The flower type is functionally female. The variety possesses high resistance to phylloxera vastatrix and moderate resistance to fungal diseases; bud frost resistance is approximately -24°C, while the root system is sensitive to frost.

The variety is demanding regarding agricultural practices and roots poorly when propagated by cuttings, often requiring rooting stimulation. In nurseries, it may exhibit weak graft compatibility with certain scions. It is not intended for the production of commercial berry yields.
