The variety is dual-purpose and ancient. Clusters are medium-sized or large, compact. Berries are large, round, ranging in color from greenish-yellow to golden, with thin but firm skin. Maturation occurs in September—October.
The plant is sensitive to cold during the flowering period and is susceptible to fungal diseases and stem rot. It prefers fertile, deep, and moderately moist soils, preferably calcareous, as well as sites protected from the wind.
Wines from this variety are noted for their lightness, harmony, and mild acidity with a neutral profile that highlights the terroir. When consumed fresh, the berries are juicy with a sweet taste.
