The variety is a cross between Listan and Pinot noir. The vines show strong growth and a tendency to form long shoots, which requires mandatory trellising and short pruning.

Clusters are medium, cylindro-conical, often winged, dense or very dense. Berries are medium, round, greenish-white in color with a characteristic tan on the sunny side and waxy bloom, possessing juicy pulp.

The variety is susceptible to downy mildew, powdery mildew, and phomopsis cane and leaf spot, possesses good resistance to grey mold, and low frost resistance. Wines made from it are characterized by aromaticity, low acidity, and medium alcohol content.
