The variety has a long history and a wide range of synonyms, such as Teta de Vaca, Gordal, and Jaén Colorado, which complicates its identification in various regions. Its origin from the Hebén variety has been genetically proven, while the name "Corazón de Cabrito" may encompass a group of different genotypes with a similar berry shape.
The primary purpose of the variety is fresh consumption. Historical data indicate good storability of the clusters when suspended. Standardized characteristics, such as ripening period, vine vigor, and the level of resistance to pathogens, are absent in accessible scientific catalogs.
