The variety is the result of breeding by crossing Italia and Volta. The bud burst period occurs at the end of March or the first ten days of April, and flowering takes place at the end of May or the first ten days of June.
The berries have a blue-black color, and the variety is characterized as very early, ripening earlier than the Cardinal variety. The grapes are intended for table use and contain seeds.
