Variety description

The variety is late-ripening. The clusters are large, dense, conical in shape, and often have two shoulders. The berries are medium-sized, round or slightly oval, dark blue or black in color, and covered with a thick layer of bloom. The berry skin is thick.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to grey mold. It is prone to overcropping, therefore requiring mandatory agrotechnical regulation. Wines made from this variety are distinguished by a fruity profile with notes of cherry, raspberry, and flowers, and when using the appassimento technique, they acquire aromas of spices, tobacco, chocolate, and dried fruits.
