The variety has ancient Balkan roots and is a Vitis vinifera L. hybrid derived from the crossing of Coarna Alba and Heunisch weiss. The bush possesses great vigor and a bisexual flower type. The ripening period is 140–150 days.

The clusters have a conical shape of medium density with an average weight of about 400 g. Rounded yellow-green berries reach a mass of 4.5–5 g and can acquire a brown tan in the sun. The variety possesses increased frost resistance, which allows it to be grown in southern regions without covering.

The grapes are used both for fresh consumption and in winemaking for the production of everyday and high-quality wines, brandy spirits, and juices. The variety is valued for its ability to convey the characteristics of the terroir.
