The variety is a natural hybrid of Cainho da Terra × Gouveio. The clusters are medium-sized and conical, the berries are medium-sized, oval, dark blue, with a thick waxy bloom and fleshy-juicy pulp. The berry skin varies from thin to medium thickness.
The plant belongs to mid-to-late ripening varieties with low yield. The crop is sensitive to moisture, frost, and fungal diseases. In winemaking, wines from this variety are characterized by high acidity, aromas of red berries, cherry, floral notes, and hints of black pepper.
