The designation 18 Cot is a technical identifier for a clone of the Fetească albă variety maintained by S.C. Cotnari S.A. It is not a separate biological species, but certified planting material selected to ensure productivity and quality in a specific area.

The base variety Fetească albă belongs to the early-mid maturity group. The vines are medium-vigorous; bunches are medium-sized, cylindrical-conical, often winged, and of medium density. Berries are medium-sized, round, and yellowish-green. Shoot maturation is good.

The variety is a wine grape used for the production of white wines, as well as base wines for sparkling wines. It is characterized by moderate resistance to fungal diseases and insufficient drought tolerance. The wines are distinguished by aromas of wildflowers, acacia, green apple, citrus, and honey.
