A mid-season ripening variety, with the harvest period falling in the second ten-day period of September. The vines are characterized by high vigor. The clusters are compact, cylindrical-conical in shape, weighing 180–220 g. The medium-sized berries, weighing 1.6–1.8 g, are spherical in shape, deep purple in color with a bloom, and have juicy flesh.

The clone possesses high drought tolerance and withstands temperature drops down to -24°C, while resistance to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola), powdery mildew (Erysiphe necator), and grey mold (Botrytis cinerea) is rated as medium or below medium. Yield is 2.2–4.0 kg per vine, reaching 16 tons per hectare under favorable conditions.

A wine grape variety for the production of high-quality D.O.C. and D.O.C.C. red wines. The grapes accumulate 210–240 g/l of sugars. The wine material possesses a rich ruby color, good structure, high content of phenolic compounds, and aging potential.
