Feunate N is a traditional Vitis vinifera variety originating from the Drôme river valley. Genetic studies indicate its ancient origin through natural crossing.
The variety belongs to late maturity groups. The fruits are used in winemaking to produce wines with a characteristic rustic style, deep color, and low alcohol levels.
In modern industrial plantings, the variety is rarely encountered; however, it remains officially authorized for cultivation in the Drôme department in France and is preserved as part of the ampelographic heritage of the region.
