The Fileri Rs variety is classified as a representative of the Vitis vinifera species. In the Vitis International Variety Catalogue, it is correlated with the Fileri Attikis variety. The suffix "Rs" in the name indicates a pink skin color, however, the base variety Fileri Attikis bears the "N" designation, corresponding to dark-colored varieties.
