Variety description

The variety is classified as a wine grape. The growing season from bud burst to full berry maturity is 125–140 days. The vines are medium-vigor with hermaphroditic flowers. The leaves are medium-sized, cuneate-rounded, five-lobed, and medium to deeply dissected.

The clusters are medium-sized, cylindrical or cylindrical-conical in shape, and medium-dense. The berries are medium-sized, round, violet-black in color, with a firm skin. The variety is characterized by good shoot maturation and increased regeneration. Winter hardiness allows the crop to be grown without winter protection.

It is moderately susceptible to downy mildew and shows relatively good resistance to other diseases and pests. Yield is 70–95 c/ha, reaching 15–20 t/ha under optimal load. The wines possess a ruby color and aromas of black berries, plum, cherry, and spices.
