The variety is a natural intervarietal hybrid historically grown in the Berry region. The name comes from the word "knee" due to the specific curvature of the plant's tendrils. The leaf has three or five lobes, the cluster is characterized as cylindrical and compact, and the berries are round and medium-sized.
The plant is a wine variety and ripens in early October. The yield of the variety is limited, and to achieve high wine quality, it is recommended to restrain it to 35 hl/ha. The resulting wines possess a fresh taste with hints of blackcurrant, red berries, and pepper.
