The variety, also known by the synonym Scimiscià, is a wine grape, although it can be used as a table grape. It is used to produce dry white wines with a golden-yellow hue, distinguished by a balanced alcohol and acidity content with a pronounced aroma.
The plant possesses high growth vigor, has bisexual flowers, and is self-pollinating. The use of trellises and long pruning is recommended for cultivation. The variety is characterized by low productivity; the ripening period is late, approximately 30 days after the Chasselas variety.
The shoot tip is open, with white-woolly pubescence and a carmine tint. The leaves are five-lobed, deeply dissected, with a coarse, blistered surface. The bunches are medium-sized, cylindro-conical, and compact. The berries are medium, round or ellipsoid, whitish-green in color with thick skin.
