The variety is traditional for the Treviso province. It is considered almost extinct, having been rediscovered and brought back into cultivation by local wineries in the 1990s. It is known by the synonym Rabosina Bianca.
It is a wine grape variety intended for the production of white wines, predominantly sparkling types such as Frizzante or Spumante. The wines are characterized by a straw-yellow color, a fresh aroma with notes of green apple, cedar, acacia, and honey, as well as distinct acidity.
