The variety is an ancient Western European wine grape whose homeland is in Germany on the banks of the Rhine. The plant belongs to mid-late maturity groups, requiring specific conditions to reach full ripeness.
The clusters of the variety are small or medium, their length is 8–14 cm, and the average weight varies from 80 to 100 g. The shape of the clusters is cylindrical or cylindrical-conical, and the density can vary.
The berries have a round shape, and the average diameter is 11–15 mm. The color of the berries is greenish-white with a yellowish tint and small dark dots; the skin is characterized by being thin yet having high strength.
