The variety is autochthonous to Dalmatia and has no genetic connection to the Italian variety Trebbiano. It is intended for winemaking, in particular for creating dry white wines and local dessert beverages such as Prošek, in which it is used as a blend component.

The grapes have a mid-season to mid-late maturity group, characterized by medium or high yield. The plant is susceptible to downy mildew and Botrytis, which requires special attention during cultivation. The wines are distinguished by freshness, elegance, fruity notes of peach and citrus with mineral undertones, having a color ranging from pale yellow to straw.
