Variety description

The variety is a vigorous plant with perfect flowers. The leaves are pentagonal, five-lobed, deeply cleft, with sparse pubescence on the underside. The clusters are medium-sized, weighing 180–230 g, cylindrical or cylindro-conical in shape, ranging from medium-dense to dense.

The berries are white, medium or small, oval or round in shape, and covered with a thick waxy bloom. The skin is thick and tough, and the flesh is fleshy and juicy. The variety is late or very late, with ripening occurring in late September to early October.

The grape has winter hardiness down to -15...-18°C. Data on disease resistance is contradictory: the thick skin may provide protection against downy mildew and powdery mildew, however, the variety is also characterized by susceptibility to gray mold. There is a distinction between the Grechetto di Orvieto and Grechetto di Todi varieties.
