Graševina is a technical grape variety known in international classification as Welschriesling. It has no genetic connection to German Riesling. The variety name is associated with the word 'pea' due to the appearance of small round berries during the ripening period.

The variety is strictly a wine grape and is used for the production of a wide range of products: from fresh dry to dessert and 'ice' wines, as well as sparkling wines. The grape is characterized by stable high yield, resistance to diseases and the ability to grow on various soils.

Wines from this variety have a greenish-yellow color and are distinguished by pronounced acidity. The bouquet contains notes of apple, peach, chamomile, elderberry and mineral shades. The variety occupies significant areas in Croatia and is grown in many European countries, where it is known under a number of synonyms, such as Olaszrizling, Laški Rizling and Riesling Italico.
