The variety has five-lobed, deeply dissected leaves and a heavily pubescent growing shoot tip; the one-year-old vine is light brown in color. Bunches are medium to large in size and loose. Berries are round, yellow-green in color, juicy, with a characteristic subtle nutmeg flavor.

The plant is noted for high and stable yields, is undemanding regarding soil type, and has good wood ripening. Late flowering allows the ovaries to be protected from spring frosts. Features of cultivation include a tendency for abundant lateral shoot formation, which requires additional work, as well as susceptibility to powdery mildew.

Wine products from this variety are characterized by a full-bodied taste with aromas of white fruits, apple, grapefruit, pear, nutmeg, and honey notes. Compared to Riesling, the wine has softer acidity and higher sugar accumulation indices.
