Merlot P.124 is a clonal variant of the French variety Merlot, isolated and studied at the Institute of Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs. The plant is a technical variety intended for the production of red wines.
The vines are characterized by medium vigor and semi-erect shoots. The variety is oriented toward use in professional viticulture to obtain a stable yield with good sugar accumulation indices.
