Variety description

The variety was obtained in 2002 by crossing the Merlot variety and selection number Kozma 20-3. The vine has medium vigor and high fertility of basal buds, which allows the use of cordon training.

The plant is distinguished by increased frost resistance down to -22...-24 °C and high resistance to powdery mildew and downy mildew. During unfavorable periods, the variety may be susceptible to gray mold infection and berry drop.

The clusters have medium density and a cylindrical shape. The berries are medium-sized, dark blue in color with thin skin. Wine from this variety is characterized by high extractability, and aromas of red fruits, violets, and licorice.
