The variety is a hybrid of the Trollinger and Muscat of Alexandria varieties. The vines are characterized by medium vigor and perfect flowers. The variety belongs to the mid-late ripening group; harvesting usually occurs in September.
The cluster is medium or large, conical, branched, often winged, loose, with a mass of 200–350 g. The berry is large, round or oval, violet-blue in color with a thick waxy bloom. The flesh is fleshy and juicy, possessing a pronounced muscat aroma.
The variety is susceptible to major fungal diseases such as downy mildew, powdery mildew, grey mold, as well as phylloxera. In years with unfavorable weather conditions, the plant is prone to flower shedding and berry shot.
