Mizancho is an ancient variety that was long considered lost and was rediscovered during expeditions in the Castile-La Mancha region. The variety belongs to white wine grape types intended for wine production.

The maturation cycle of the variety is similar to the Airen variety, which implies a longer growing season compared to a number of other local varieties. Mizancho demonstrates a moderate response to changes in irrigation regimes.

Wines from this variety possess a flavor profile with notes of white fruits and chalky nuances in the finish. As of today, the variety is not subject to mass industrial cultivation and is being studied within the framework of programs for the restoration of local varieties.
