This clone is the result of selection work performed within the Olasz rizling variety population. The main objectives of the breeding were to improve winemaking characteristics, increase yield stability, and obtain healthy, virus-free planting material.

The variety belongs to the late maturity group and is intended exclusively for technical, winemaking use. The base variety has moderate sensitivity to grey mold, and the selection of the B.20 clone is aimed at improving bunch structure and the characteristics of aromatic compounds, sugar content, and acidity.
