This clone was selected by the Research Institute for Viticulture and Enology of the University of Pécs. It is included in the Hungarian National Variety List as officially permitted for propagation and use.

The purpose of the P.112 clone is wine production. The clone retains the basic biological and quality characteristics of the original Olasz rizling variety, while clonal selection is aimed at increasing yield stability and improving juice quality.

Open sources do not contain detailed descriptions of specific quantitative characteristics that distinguish this clone from the standard variety in terms of ripening time or disease resistance.
