Olivella nera N. is a wine grape variety whose history is associated with confusion due to the use of the name "Olivella" for a number of varieties with elongated berries. The variety has medium vigor, medium-sized, pentagonal, seven-lobed leaves. The clusters are medium-sized, conical, moderately dense, and often winged.

The berries are medium or small in size, oval in shape, and dark red-black in color with firm skin. The variety matures in medium or medium-early periods and is adapted to the climate of Campania and Lazio. Wines produced from this grape are distinguished by an intense ruby-red color, fruity aromas, and structured tannins.
