Clone P.2/16 is the result of an intra-varietal selection program for the variety «Olasz rizling» (Welschriesling). It is intended for use in viticulture as certified propagation material for the production of white wine.

During comparative trials, the clone demonstrated stable performance in yield, bunch weight, and sugar content. One of the distinctive characteristics of this clone is the high titratable acidity of the must. The variety belongs to the late-maturing category.

Breeding work on the clone was conducted with the aim of improving the biological qualities of the base variety, including yield optimization. The clone is officially registered in the state registry as material for professional viticulture.
