This object is a clone of the Olasz rizling variety, known in international classification as Welschriesling, Riesling Italico, or Graševina. The clone is the result of selecting the best vines within the original variety and is not a new hybrid.

The technical variety for the production of white wines is characterized by late ripening and high yield. The grapes are susceptible to fungal diseases, particularly grey mold (Botrytis cinerea). Wines from this variety are often distinguished by a characteristic almond aroma.

The breeding of the B.5/8 clone is aimed at increasing the stability of yield quality, fertility, and general adaptation to specific growing conditions. Precise quantitative indicators of sugar content and acidity vary depending on specific growing conditions and the season.
