The grape variety «Oltean» was bred at the University of Craiova by a group of researchers. It belongs to the table varieties of the species Vitis vinifera L. The parent forms used in creating the variety were «Dattier de Saint Vallier» and «Victoria».
The variety underwent a detailed ampelographic evaluation, during which more than 100 descriptors were studied, including the morphological characteristics of shoots, leaves, flowers, berries, and bunches. Public data is limited to the description of the breeding work and does not contain specific indicators of agricultural practices or yield.
