The variety is technical and intended for wine production. The total acidity of the wines is 3.5–3.8 g/l H₂SO₄, the sugar content in the berries varies from 170 to 210 g/l. The yield averages 12 t/ha, reaching 18–20 t/ha under favorable conditions.
Two biotypes of the variety are distinguished: the first is characterized by compact cylindrical-conical bunches with round berries, the second by loose cylindrical bunches with large egg-shaped berries. The variety is traditionally cultivated in the Miniș-Măderat region and on the sandy soils of southern Moldova.
