The leaf is often three-lobed, with pronounced upper sinuses and bracket-shaped petiolar sinuses. Clusters are small or medium, cylindrical, quite dense. Berries are medium-sized, ranging from spherical to short-ovoid, dark violet or blue-black in color with thin skin, abundant bloom, and juicy flesh.
The plant is vigorous, with an upright growth habit and early bud break. The variety belongs to the second late ripening epoch, short pruning is recommended. It is sensitive to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola), grey mold (Botrytis cinerea), and sour rot, and is less susceptible to powdery mildew (Oidium). It is prone to wind damage, and berry detachment from the pedicel can be difficult.
Wine from this variety is characterized by intense color, high acidity, and low alcohol content. The beverage is recommended to be consumed young, within two years of production.
