The variety belongs to wine grape varieties bred in Hungary. Its genotype contains genes of the Amur grape (Vitis amurensis), which contributes to increased plant resistance.

During laboratory tests, the variety demonstrated resistance to the bacterium Agrobacterium vitis, which is the causative agent of crown gall of grapevine. Artificial freezing tests confirmed the high winter hardiness of the variety.
