The variety is a hybrid of the Bicane and Pinot varieties. It belongs to table and wine cultivars grown for fresh consumption and winemaking. The maturity period is very early, occurring approximately 10 days earlier than the Chasselas variety.

The vines are moderately vigorous and very fertile. The clusters are small or medium-sized, loose, and cylindrical-conical in shape. The berries are oval or ellipsoidal, medium-sized, with thin, tender skin and juicy, sweet flesh without pronounced varietal flavor characteristics.

The variety possesses good frost resistance but is sensitive to downy mildew (Plasmopara viticola) and grey mold (Botrytis cinerea), and the berries are often attacked by wasps. It requires short pruning and thorough shoot trimming. Due to the thin skin, the fruits tolerate transportation poorly and have low keeping quality.

At present, the variety is considered rare and is used primarily as genetic material for breeding new grape varieties.
