The Prodest variety, also known as Incrocio Cosmo 109, is the result of breeding work by crossing the Merlot and Barbera varieties. It is a wine grape variety specialized in the production of wine.
The plant forms black-colored berries. It is cultivated mainly in Italy, in the Veneto region, however, the total planting areas of the variety remain extremely limited.
