The variety is a wine grape with a dark skin color, as indicated by the N. designation in the name. There are hypotheses regarding the variety's connection to the Abbuoto variety, however, genetic studies do not currently confirm this relationship.
The variety has limited distribution primarily in Central Italy. Detailed agrotechnical characteristics, including resistance indicators and maturity stages, are not presented in open sources.
