Variety description

The shrub has a spreading form and reaches a height of 1.0–1.5 meters, in some cases up to 2.5 meters. The foliage has a characteristic dark purple or bronze-violet color, which manifests most brightly under sufficient sunlight. In case of insufficient light, the leaves turn green.
Flowering is profuse; the flowers are bell-shaped and have a pink-red hue. The main period occurs from May to July; repeat flowering is possible in late summer. The plant has moderate winter hardiness down to -20...-30°C and is sensitive to moisture stagnation in the soil. The variety can be affected by fungal diseases and pests.
