Solanum lycopersicum L. var. lycopersicum
A biological trait of tomato plants in which the growth of the main stem is self-limiting after the formation of a specific number of flower clusters.

The assessment of determinacy is based on phenotypic indicators: the number of leaves before the initiation of the first flower cluster, the frequency of inflorescence formation, and the timing of the natural termination of the main shoot's growth. In determinate forms, the first cluster is initiated above the 6th–7th leaf, inflorescences are formed every 1–2 leaves, and growth terminates after 4–6 clusters.
Depending on the degree of growth restriction, varieties are classified as super-determinate (terminating after 2–3 clusters and reaching 30–60 cm in height), determinate (60–130 cm, up to 6 clusters), and semi-determinate (120–150 cm, up to 8–10 clusters). This trait determines early maturation timing and the necessity for pruning to prevent fruit overloading.
