The choice of a variety is based on the correspondence of its genetic capabilities to the intensity level of technologies used on the farm.
Yield metrics in centners or tons per hectare are used to assess productivity, and in greenhouses, in kilograms per square meter. Since crop moisture content at harvest can vary, data is recalculated to a standard moisture content to ensure accurate varietal comparison.
