A variety's yield represents the volume of produce harvested per unit area and is categorized into potential, projected, biological, and actual yield. It manifests as the result of the plant's genetic capabilities being realized, limited by external environmental conditions and the effectiveness of applied agricultural practices.
This indicator depends on the suitability of the variety to soil and climatic conditions, the level of agronomy, the quality of preceding crops, and genotype stability.
