Prunus armeniaca L.

Apricot yield is a key economic trait measured in kilograms per tree or tons per hectare. Productivity indicators are significantly influenced by the stability of bearing, which is limited by the sensitivity of flower buds to climatic factors.

With a high load on the tree, fruit thinning is required to prevent fruit size reduction and depletion of the plant. Variety selection is based on the balance between potential yield and the frost resistance of flower buds.
