The variety has a characteristic elongated, torpedo-shaped or bottle-shaped bulb. The skin is colored purple-pink or reddish-violet; the flesh is succulent, tender, and red-white in cross-section. The bulbs are medium-sized, with a weight of 60–150 g and a length of 10–15 cm. The plant reaches a height of 40–55 cm and has dark green, crisp leaves with a waxy bloom.
The variety belongs to the early or mid-early group with a growing season of 80 to 100 days. It possesses resistance to low temperatures and drought. It is intended primarily for fresh consumption, as it does not withstand long-term storage.
