The shrub is characterized by a dense vertical crown, the height of which varies from 0.2–0.5 m to 1 m. Young leaves have golden-yellow and amber shades, which in summer are complemented by pink-red and copper tones. In autumn, the foliage acquires a rich red or orange color.
Flowering occurs in May with yellow flowers, after which red fruits are formed. The variety shows high resistance to major Berberis diseases and frost hardiness down to -25 °C. The best leaf decorativeness is achieved when planted in well-lit areas.
