The shrub is characterized by a slow growth rate, reaching a height of 0.3–0.5 m with a crown diameter of 0.4–0.6 m by the age of 10. The crown is dense, compact, and has a spherical or flattened-spherical shape.
Small oval leaves are lemon-yellow in spring and summer, turning orange-red by autumn. The plant blooms with small yellow flowers in May, and orange-red fruits ripen in September, remaining on the branches for a long time.
The variety possesses high frost resistance, drought tolerance, and resistance to Puccinia graminis, and also tolerates urban conditions well. The plant reacts poorly to stagnant waterlogging of the soil and is intended for borders, rock gardens, and container planting.
