Deciduous dwarf shrub with a very compact and dense rounded crown. The plant is characterized by slow growth rates, reaching a height of about 30 cm and a width of 40 cm by six years of age, with the maximum height of the variety being up to 50 cm.
Small rhomboid-oval leaves up to 3 cm in length have a carmine-red color with a golden margin in spring and summer, which changes to deep dark purple in autumn. In May, the shrub blooms with small yellow flowers, and fruits ripen by autumn.
The variety is frost-resistant, withstands temperatures below -20°C and is resistant to urban conditions. It is used in landscape design for creating low borders, decorating the foreground of mixed borders, rock gardens, alpine slides, and for cultivation in containers.
