The plant has a slow growth rate with an annual increment of 10–25 cm. The mature shrub has a width of 0.4–0.6 m and stiff upright shoots that are not prone to lodging. The leaves are small, spatulate or lanceolate.
Flowering occurs in late May – early June with small fragrant yellow flowers. The fruits are bright red shiny berries that ripen by the end of summer and remain on the branches for a long time.
The variety is characterized by winter hardiness (zone 5a), high tolerance to drought, urban conditions, and diseases, including rust. It is used in landscape design for creating hedges, borders, group compositions, and growing in containers.
